Story
Myself and Lucy have choose to do the 10 mile memory walk for Kirkwood Hospice on June 22nd 2024.
The hospice provides care to individuals suffering from life limiting conditions giving them a place of comfort with outstanding levels of care. Including specialist end of life care, support and counselling for families.
I have first hand seen the care provided in 2019 as my grandfather, John Hill, spent his final days in the hospice.
My grandads life came to an end after suffering from Motor Neurones Disease. A terminal condition that affects the brain and nerves in the body. He started his life as an active man with a strong willed personality. Myself and my family saw how the disease deteriorated his life and abruptly ended.
We have committed into doing the 10 mile walk in order to raise money for the hospice so that the care provided to patient and families can continue.
All I ask is for a small donation to help contribute and raise awareness.
