Hi, I'm Jack, one of the Surrey Search and Rescue volunteers, and I am taking on the North Downs Ultra 50 Challenge for the second time, because apparently, I didn't learn from last year how tough it is. As a search and rescue team, having a mobile control unit is essential, but sadly, ours has reached the end of its usability and needs to be replaced. and the money raised from this page will go towards getting another operational vehicle again for the team.

Surrey Search & Rescue is a voluntary specialist search team which assists the emergency services. Primarily to help find missing people we also support in water rescue incidents and wildfires. We are on-call 24 hours a day, with a team of 70+ people and search dogs, to respond across Surrey and surrounding areas.
