In the early 2000's, my Uncle Chris was diagnosed with MS, and since then I have seen the impact this condition has had on him and all us who love him. It is not just a disease - its something that affects every part of his life, and others who are also impacted by it.

In 2008, my dad achieved the unthinkable of running the Eindhoven half-marathon to help raise money for Chris' local rehab centre. This ridiculous achievement for a man of his stature was made even more remarkable by the fact he was able to raise of £10,000. This moment really stuck with me. Seeing him push himself to help others inspired me and I made a promise to myself that I would do something similar before I turned 30. Now, as I approach 29, this is my last chance to make good on that promise.

As a result, In April 2026, I will be taking part in The TCS London Marathon to raise money for MS-UK!

MS-UK is a national charity dedicated to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. They work to improve the understanding of MS and provide support where it is needed most.

Their services include a helpline, providing information and emotional support, online activities, information booklets and a bi-monthly magazine New Pathways.

Being (almost) half the weight of my Dad, I figured why not try and raise half the amount of money, so I am aiming to raise £5,000 for this incredible cause.
