Story
Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I'm going to run the Richmond Marathon on 15th September to raise money for the Popp Moses Educational Appeal Fund.
I am writing to ask for support for a young albino boy who lives with his father in a small village in Tanzania. His name is Popp Moses and he is 13 years of age.
Popp is entering secondary education at Loyola High School, a boarding school that will provide good education and security for him. In Tanzania such children are very vulnerable and can be ridiculed, attacked, or worse.
Popp has done well at junior school and achieved excellent academic results. His father is called Moses. He is a single parent living on a subsistence income, and is unable to pay the school fees that will, hopefully, keep Popp safe.
His school fees will cover all meals, stationery, health insurance, sunglasses, reading glasses, and skin oil. Albinos need good protection from the sun's rays as too much exposure can lead to complications, including skin cancer.
It costs £800 per year to keep Popp at school, which EACP pays in two installments. The second installment will be paid in December.
If you are able to make a small donation, it would mean the world to Popp and I.
Thank you so much!
Jack
