Story
Hi, I’m Jackson, I’m 9 years old, and this August I’m taking on a challenge to walk 31 miles in 31 days to raise money for Diabetes UK.
I live with type 1 diabetes, which means all day, every day I have to check my blood sugar, count the carbohydrates in everything I eat, and have insulin injections just to stay healthy. It’s something I can never take a break from.
I’m doing this challenge because I want to help raise money for research to find a cure. My biggest hope is that one day children like me will never have to count carbs, work out insulin doses, or have injections every time they want to eat.
I know walking 31 miles won’t always be easy, but if it helps raise money for research and brings us one step closer to a cure, every mile will be worth it.
If you can, please support my challenge. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Diabetes UK continue its life-changing research and give hope to thousands of families like mine. And if you can’t donate, sharing my page would mean so much.
Thank you for helping me take every step towards a future where no child has to live with type 1 diabetes. 💙🚶♂️🔬
