Story
Hello everyone!
This is my first 10k run as part of my fitness journey and more importantly to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. This cause is close to my heart because my lovely auntie is visually impaired and has required the help of these amazing assistance dogs for many years.
From the Guide Dogs website:
£9.00 could support a working guide dog partnership for a day.
£31.00 could pay for specialist training for a guide dog, who could go on to provide life-changing independence for someone living with sight loss.
£50.00 could help pay for a child to attend a Guide Dogs My Time to Play session, where they can learn important skills through play.
As a dog groomer, I have a lot of love and respect for dogs and I know my customers do too! This is my first run for a charity and I plan to do more in future to help give back to dog charities for all the joy, companionship and assistance that dogs have brought to my life and those around me.
