I feel passionate about supporting IJM as I have personally given emotional support via another charity in the UK to a woman and her 4 year old son who were trafficked, enslaved and abused.

I wish to raise awareness of IJM and the amazing work that they do by trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro, a crazy thing to do in my sixties with no previous experience.

Climb for Freedom 2024 is raising funds for one vital reason: to help stop modern slavery and violence around the world. Over 50 million children, women and men are held in slavery today.

International Justice Mission is a global organisation working to stop slavery and violence. IJM works with local authorities and partners to:

- bring people to safety

- support survivors with trauma-informed care

- hold perpetrators to account

- strengthen justice systems so that people are protected in the first place

IJM has worked with authorities to bring over 90,000 people to safety since 1997, and seen slavery decrease by up to 86% in places where they have worked. They won't stop until all are free.
