Story

I’m running this marathon to raise money for Guide Dogs because they changed my family’s life. After my mum suffered several strokes, she lost most of her sight and, along with it, her confidence and independence. In many ways, I felt like I lost my mum too. But when she was matched with her first guide dog, Anjelo, everything changed. He didn’t just help her navigate the world safely, he helped bring back the mum I knew. Anjelo gave her confidence, freedom, and joy again, and for that I will always be grateful. And not forgetting her current guide dog Henry , who has been amazing. This run is my way of saying thank you and supporting the incredible work Guide Dogs do for so many people and families like mine.
