McCarthy Stone Peak District Challenge 2026 · 13 May 2026 ·

On Wednesday 13 May 2026, McCarthy Stone colleagues and suppliers will take on a Peak District Walking Challenge in aid of our Foundation. Helping to reduce loneliness and isolation for people in later life.

Story

Thank you for supporting my Peak District Walking Challenge!

On Wednesday 13 May 2026, I’ll be taking part in the Peak District Walking Challenge, raising money for a number of charities that help our senior community, especially when it comes to isolation and loneliness, in partnership with the McCarthy & Stone foundation.

The challenge starts and finishes in Bakewell, Derbyshire, and I’ll be walking 46km / 28.6 miles — all to raise money for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

Why this matters

The funds raised through this challenge support the McCarthy Stone Foundation’s work to reduce loneliness and isolation among people aged 65 and over, particularly in areas of high deprivation, working with a number of charities.

Thanks to match funding, every donation made to this page is doubled, meaning your generosity will have twice the impact.
