This year, I will be running the Saucony London 10k for Welcare. I welcome your support by giving a couple of pounds towards their important work.

My family has long been fundraising for Welcare and now it's my turn to dust off the road running shoes and get out on 13th July 2025. I've not road run for quite a while; my best 10km was back on January 1st 2024 in 44 mins 46 seconds.

If this is not enough, the week before I'm running a 30km fell race in the Brecon Beacons (1,834 metres ascent), and the week after, I'm running 16km (990 metres ascent) up and down Snowdon in the International Snowdon race (Ras Yr Wyddfa). Lets hope the legs old out!

Welcare provides practical and emotional support to families with children up to the age of 13 across South London and East Surrey. Through early intervention, Welcare aims to strengthen families, empower parents, and improve the life chances of children and young people.

The children and families Welcare support face difficulty due to domestic abuse, parental conflict, mental health, emotional and well-being issues, social isolation or the challenges caused by low income and the cost-of-living crisis.

Welcare's Family Support Workers support families through tailored one-to-one whole-family work, targeted group work programmes, and practical and financial support.
