Ann, Angela, Derek and James's Bridge Day for Charlton Park RDA

Being around horses enriches the lives of children with disabilities or learning difficulties. We offer free riding therapy that helps improve confidence, skills and self-esteem. Run entirely by volunteers we rely upon the generous donations received from our supporters to enable us to continue.

Story

At Charlton Park RDA, we believe in the transformative power of riding for disabled children. Each week, our dedicated team of volunteers and our three wonderful ponies, Paddy, Grace, and Willow, come together to provide free riding lessons to those who need it most.

On average, we offer 60 disabled children a 30-minute ride each week during this time. This experience not only brings joy and excitement but also fosters confidence and independence in these young riders. Our volunteers give their time selflessly; nobody receives payment for their efforts.

However, to continue offering this invaluable service at no cost to families, we rely entirely on donations. Our target is to raise £2,500 GBP to cover the essential running costs of our program. Every contribution makes a significant difference in the lives of these children.

To support this mission, we are organizing our third bridge drive at the historic Stone House in Lewisham. Your support can help us keep the magic of riding alive for many more children who deserve this opportunity.
