Story
We’re Jack and James, and for reasons we’re still questioning, we’ve signed ourselves up to run 13.1 miles in the Oxford Half Marathon. There will almost certainly be aching legs, questionable pacing decisions, and plenty of complaints along the way—but it’s all for an incredible cause.
We’re raising money for the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT), a charity that rescues, cares for and rehomes animals across the south of England. Their mission is simple: to create a world where every pet thrives in a loving home. Every donation helps provide food, shelter, medical care and, ultimately, a second chance for animals who need it most.
For us, this cause is about so much more than finding animals a home. The love, comfort and companionship an animal can bring to someone's life is truly priceless. They can give people a reason to get up on the toughest days, provide unconditional support through life's challenges, and become part of the family. We rely on animals just as much as they rely on us, and every pet deserves the chance to find the person they're meant to be with.
That's why we'd love to raise as much as possible for this amazing charity. We truly believe there's someone for every animal, and an animal for every person—sometimes they're just waiting to find each other.
So, if you'd like to support two slightly underprepared runners in exchange for helping countless dogs, cats and other animals find their forever homes, we'd be hugely grateful.
Every donation—no matter how big or small—will help NAWT continue its incredible work and will keep us motivated when our legs are telling us to stop (which will probably be around mile 3!).
Thank you so much for your support—it genuinely means the world to us, and to the animals whose lives you'll be helping to change.
