Story
This November, myself & my eldest son, Joe will be travelling to Nepal to take part in Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’s Sonic Adventure & will be ‘Building Hope Through Music’, along with our own blood, sweat & tears (😆)!
This challenge is in support of the Girls' Empowerment Centre in Devulchi, Nepal.
Together, with around 50 other participants, we will undertake an 8 day trek through the Himalayas to Lake Tilicho, one of the highest glacial lakes on Earth, & take part in a special full moon celebration at high altitude.
Along the way, we will be carrying the spirit of this campaign with us — a reminder that music, courage, & community can help create real & lasting change.
What makes this journey especially powerful is that all participants are self-funding their place on the expedition.
That means every donation goes directly towards supporting vulnerable girls through education, counselling, & vocational training — helping to open doors to brighter, safer futures.
The need is urgent & deeply human: many girls in Nepal continue to face barriers that limit their opportunities & their sense of possibility.
By supporting us & this campaign, you are helping to build hope, strengthen confidence, & create pathways to independence.
As father & son we are teaming up together to raise as much as possible for this incredibly worthy cause. Joe has already raised a significant amount of funds by running the London Marathon which are already included in this page total.
We would be sincerely grateful for your support.
Please donate if you can & help turn this adventure into lasting impact for girls in Nepal.
Big love,
Team James & Joe
