Story

I am running c20k for this charity event in Leicester on 30/08/26. It's for an essential cause, so please donate if you can! Any donation, regardless of size, will be immensely appreciated.

Run for Her, Run for Us, Run for Change

This Charity Run was created from a simple idea: men supporting women, and communities standing together for change.

Too often, conversations around domestic abuse and mental health happen too late. This run is about stepping in earlier — raising awareness, breaking silence, and helping build a culture where young boys grow up learning respect, empathy, and how to treat women with dignity.

But while the message is rooted in men standing up for women, this event is for everyone — families, friends, schools, and communities.

Why We Run Together

We run because behind every story is a real person:

a young person struggling in silence, a mother rebuilding her life, or a survivor trying to feel safe again.

Your fundraising supports:

🧠 School wellbeing workshops across the UK & Kenya

💙 Counselling and mental health support in Leicester

🛑 Specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse

🌍 Community programmes that build safety, resilience and hope

This is not abstract charity. This is real support, in real time, for real people.

A Movement, Not Just a Run

This is more than a fitness event. It is a statement.

“We don’t wait for change — we run towards it.”

Every runner becomes part of a collective voice saying: we will not ignore mental health. We will not stay silent on domestic abuse. We will not leave people behind.

Whether you are running, walking, or bringing your family along, you are contributing to something bigger than the route in Victoria Park.

Open to Everyone

While the heart of this initiative is about men stepping up and showing accountability and allyship, this event is proudly open to all genders, ages, and abilities.

We encourage:

Men running in solidarity

Women leading and participating

Families running together

Young people joining for impact

Communities showing up as one

Because change doesn’t belong to one group — it belongs to all of us.

Final Word

This run is about courage. The courage to speak. The courage to show up. The courage to act.

Together, we are not just raising funds.

We are building safer homes.

We are supporting recovery.

We are creating hope where it was missing.

And most importantly — we are proving that when people come together, change doesn’t just happen… it moves.
