This year, on 14th February, the Scouts from Doveridge Scout Group are doing a Chilly Challenge fundraiser to raise funds for the Padley Centre for the homeless in Derby and also to raise awareness for people at risk of homelessness, social isolation and poverty.

For one night, we'll swap the comfort of our warm beds for a cardboard box and sleeping bag, braving the elements to experience just a fraction of what homeless individuals endure every day.

Homelessness is a harsh reality for far too many people in Derby and Derbyshire. Padley@YMCA Derbyshire provide essential services, including safe accommodation, life skills programs, and emotional support, to help these young people rebuild their lives and move towards a brighter future.

By taking part in our Chilly Challenge, we hope to raise much-needed funds to support this vital work.
