Story
Chris Reed, Paul Darroch and Jason Purvis are lacing up their hiking boots and packing headtorches for something that honestly scares us a little, but in the best possible way.
This March, we are taking on the Cleveland 4 Peaks challenge, but not in daylight. We will be walking 13 miles through the dark, climbing Roseberry Topping, Captain Cook’s Monument, Codhill Heights and Highcliffe Nab, guided only by moonlight, a beam of torchlight and the determination to keep going.
But this challenge is about more than pushing ourselves. Every step we take is for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
As we walk through the night, tired and cold, we will be thinking about the crews who fly into darkness, difficult weather and dangerous situations to save lives. Our challenge lasts a few hours. The difference they make lasts a lifetime.
That’s why we are asking for your support. Any donation, big or small, will help keep this life saving service operational and ready to answer the next call.
