In 2025, prostate cancer landed very firmly in the middle of our lives when my husband, Martyn, was diagnosed and underwent a radical prostatectomy. This year, he has needed radiotherapy, and our journey is still ongoing.

It has shown us first-hand just how deeply prostate cancer affects not only the person diagnosed, but everyone who loves them. That’s why I’m taking on a series of cycling challenges over the next year to raise £3,000 for Prostate Cancer UK—helping to fund vital research, improve support and raise awareness.

My challenges include:

• Tour de 4, Sir Chris Hoy’s event in Glasgow – September 2026

• Bikepacking the Way of the Roses – September 2026

• Palace to Palace 100-mile ride – October 2026

• Dragon Ride Gran Fondo – June 2027

• Grand Départ Classic—riding three stages of the Tour de France route one week before the professionals – June 2027

• Bikepacking to Corfu – September 2027

It’s a big year of riding, but every mile will have a very personal reason behind it.
