Story
A wee last minute decision to do the Kilt Walk Big Stroll on Saturday however this cause is very close to my heart.
Around 145,000 people live with Parkinson's in the UK, and the number is rising. For a condition that touches the lives of so many people, surprisingly little is known about it. There is still no cure and no way of slowing its progress. However, researchers in the University of Dundee’s School of Life Sciences are making significant progress in uncovering why Parkinson’s behaves the way it does and one of my close family members has benefitted directly from this research.
Parkinson's is the fastest-growing neurological disorder globally. The number of people living with Parkinson's is expected to double by 2040, and it is currently impossible to predict who will develop the condition. Donations help the researchers tackle this growing healthcare challenge head-on.
Thank you for visiting my Dundee Parkinson's JustGiving page, anything you can give will make a difference.
