Join us for the Ride for Ray, a special charity cycle ride in memory of Ray Sweeney, a loving partner to Beth Sweeney, a devoted and caring father to Nieve and Myles, and a friend to many who loved him greatly.

Ray was a passionate Leeds United supporter whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Following his recent passing from a brain tumour, we are coming together to honour his memory in the best way we can: by raising funds and awareness to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

Our ride will take us from the Leeds United training ground to Elland Road, symbolising Ray’s lifelong love for the club and bringing together family, friends, supporters, and the wider community for a cause that means so much.

Every mile ridden and every pound raised will support Brain Tumour Research and its mission to improve outcomes for those affected by brain tumours.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours.
