This year, I turn 40 and I decided I needed to set myself a fundraising challenge, to beat all my previous challenges and hopefully, raise more than I ever have before too! Thanks to Maggie's Southampton - I think I have found the perfect thing...

I will be climbing Mount Toubkal in Morocco this June - a 5 day challenge that will see me reach heights I have never climbed to before. Not only will this be an incredible experience, it will push me both physically and mentally and I will be so very proud if I make it to the top!

Most importantly, I am doing this to raise money for Maggie's Southampton. This cancer centre is a haven for so many people who are going through cancer treatment and/or living with cancer. It is a safe space for family, carers and friends of people with cancer too. The centre provides a variety of support, counselling, groups and you can "just come in".

I know a number of people who have truly experienced the benefits of Maggie's Southampton and I am so grateful for the comfort and support they received.

No one should go through cancer alone and Maggie's is here to make sure people get the support they need.

1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime and I really hope my fundraising will go towards ensuring Maggie's can keep doing the great work they do to support as many people as possible, for years to come.
