This May, we are taking part in the Big Team Walk!
We are Team 'Wonder Walkers'!
As a team of five we are walking in our communities and at the same time our steps will be tracked on a virtual route from Birmingham to Glasgow! This is a 300-mile journey between the former and future hosts of the iconic Commonwealth Games.
Every day, athletes across the country are waking up at 5am to train hard in preparation for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. By joining the Big Team Walk, we are supporting these athletes on their path to success, whilst raising vital funds for SportsAid to help the next generation of athletes continue to train and compete at their best despite financial barriers.
For nearly 50 years, SportsAid has played a crucial role in the journeys of aspiring athletes, providing them with financial assistance, recognition and practical support at a crucial stage. Donations really make a difference and SportsAid Alumni include Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Ellie Simmonds OBE, and Sir Mo Farah. At the Paris 2024 Games, 82% of Team GB and Paralympics GB medallists were once supported by SportsAid.
