Sea Splash 2026 for Norfolk and Waveney Mind

Jennie Buckle is raising money for Norfolk and Waveney Mind
In memory of Steven

Sea Splash · 1 February 2026

Join us on Sunday 1 February as we make a splash for mental health at Cromer Beach! By taking part in Sea Splash 2026, you’ll be helping to fund vital mental health services across Norfolk and Waveney, supporting local people when they need it most.

Story

We lost our son Steven to suicide in 2014. He was just 23 years old and had been let down by the system repeatedly. We want to help raise funds to make sure nobody else feels so desperate that they feel suicide is the only option. We also don’t want any other family to carry the pain and guilt around with them for the rest of their lives. The money raised will help support people and help in the fight for better mental health.

On the Sunday 1st February, join us in our new fundraising challenge and brave the sea at Cromer Beach. By taking on this short dip challenge, you’ll be supporting other people’s mental health by raising vital funds for mental health services in Norfolk and Waveney, whilst boosting your own wellbeing. It’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. We support the people of Norfolk and Waveney with their mental health and wellbeing through our network of wellbeing centres, talking therapies, residential programmes, social groups, specialist programmes and mental health training. From prevention support to crisis support, wherever you are on your mental health journey, we are here for you.

Our ambition is to ensure that no one has to face poor mental health alone and with the right support and resources anybody can create a life that feels meaningful to them.
