I will be joining 119 other colleagues from HSBC in a 100km trek over 5 days through challenging HIGH & LOW temperatures in desert and rocky terrain in Jordan. I will have no access to typical facilities like hot showers, WiFi and a comfortable bed, everyone will be carrying their own personal equipment and camping gear for 5 days and sleeping rough in the middle of nowhere.

I am doing this to literally WALK the TALK and raise funds and awareness for SUSTAINABILITY for the Jordan River Foundation and for Children in my home country Lebanon.

Given the location of the trek, I am raising funds for the Jordan River Foundation. JRF is helping build a Jordan for safer children, equal opportunities, and sustainable growth, as it marks the commendable transformation of more than 2 million beneficiaries reached under its Community Empowerment and Child Safety Programs.

In 2021 JRF had significant impact with over 113k beneficiaries, over 26k community empowerment, training and consultancy services beneficiaries, 95k+ beneficiaries of child safety programs, 176 partnering community based organization , 233 job referral and 920 grants

I am also raising funds for the Children of Lebanon through UNICEF UK. 13 years ago my sister had shot a documentary (see video link) on Children Living and Working on the Streets in Lebanon. The prevalence of children living or working in the streets is a long-standing issue that poses a persistent challenge that straddles larger socioeconomic issues in Lebanon. The recent economic meltdown compounded by the impact of COVID-19 and the 2020 Beirut explosions has left families struggling to survive. UNICEF has been working in Lebanon for over seven decades, providing life-saving support to children, protecting their rights and helping them achieve their potential
