The catastrophic explosions in Beirut, Lebanon on Tuesday 4 August, killed more than 100 people and injured 4,000. Around 300,000 people have been left without homes.
Unicef fears that children are among the casualties.
Already battling against coronavirus and economic instability, the disaster in Beirut adds to the crisis for the people of Lebanon. The pandemic has left hospitals overwhelmed and frontline workers exhausted.
Unicef is on the ground working closely with authorities and partners in Lebanon to respond to the needs of children, families and health workers.
Were providing safe drinking water and hygiene kits for children and families in the city. Were helping set up counselling to support children who are experiencing trauma and those who have lost loved ones.
Were working fast to support children in emergency accommodation, ensuring they have mattresses, blankets and towels. And were replacing the thousands of PPE equipment lost in the blast, so health workers can stay protected and keep children safe.
Just £46 could help provide an emergency water and hygiene kit for a family.
