Story
In memory of our little boy, Arthur Matthew Tweddle.
At just 17 weeks, our son was born sleeping. Too small for this world but big enough to change our lives forever.
Miscarriage is something no parent should ever go through, but late miscarriage was particularly tough. It has broken our hearts but we want to turn our pain into purpose - and help those who supported us and help others who may one day face this same difficult time.
That's why we are taking on a 45 mile walk from Darlington Crematorium to Runswick Bay, North Yorkshire. Darlington Crematorium is the place we will say our final goodbyes to our son and Runswick Bay is a special family place that we intend to scatter his ashes. Every step is for Arthur, and for all the other babies gone too soon.
We are raising money for North Tees Hospital's Snowdrop Suite, to support with baby loss and ensure other families receive the compassion and care that we did.
If you would like to walk alongside us, we would love for people to join us along different sections of the journey. The more footsteps, the louder the message of love, awareness and support. Plus, Matt is not a fan of walking, so we may need some encouragement!
The route starts on the Friday evening and is from the Crematorium (DL3 8RY), to Middleton St George, to Eaglescliffe, to the Teesside Barrage, to the Riverside Stadium, through Redcar, to Saltburn and then along the Cleveland Way to Runswick Bay. We intend to create a WhatsApp group for those interested, so we can post our live location throughout the event. Please let us know if you would like to meet us along the way.
If you'd like to support us, please share, donate, or simply keep us in your thoughts.
Jen and Matt

If love could save him, he'd have lived forever.
