Story
I’m Running the Chester Triple series which includes 10km in March 2025, Half Marathon in May 2025 & Marathon in October to Support Cancer Patients.
My dad has Written a Book About Why.
In 2024, my dad was diagnosed with tongue cancer. It was brutal — the treatment left him physically broken, reliant on a feeding tube, and facing an uncertain future. But he came through it, thanks to the skill of the NHS team, the support of his family and friends, and the care he received from the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre in Shrewsbury.
He made myself a promise: if he recovered, he would run the London Marathon to raise money for Lingen Davies. And now, he is training for the 2026 London Marathon and asking for your support.
Why Lingen Davies?
Lingen Davies Cancer Fund supports cancer patients across Shropshire and Mid Wales. Their vision is to help more people live well beyond cancer — he is one of the lucky ones, and he wanted to give back.
Why Keep on Keeping On?
During treatment, he kept writing. It helped him reflect, cope, and stay hopeful. Those reflections became his book — Keep on Keeping On — which shares my story, the reality of cancer treatment, and the extraordinary power of care and resilience.
Every penny he raises— from marathon sponsorship and book sales — goes to Lingen Davies. It’s his way of paying it forward, blending two things that helped me heal: telling his story.
Help him Keep on Keeping On
Please sponsor me, buy my dads book, or both! Together we can help Lingen Davies continue their life-changing work.
Thank you — and remember: KOKO — Keep on Keeping On.
