Story
Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice supports babies and young children who have complex illnesses or disabilities from birth to age five.
They work to ensure that very unwell children can enjoy the best possible quality of life and we support their families throughout their journey.
The children’s hospice in Liverpool offers respite, palliative and end of life care for children, as well as support for the whole family. With a range of play therapies and fun activities, the team of specialists work together to make every moment of childhood count.
As you may be aware from local news over the past couple of days Zoe’s Place in Liverpool faces complete closure by the end of the year if they cannot raise funds to build a new hospice. Zoe’s place had been hoping to build a new hospice near to its current location and in September the charity's had plans approved to refurbish a former villa on the former bowling green at Hayman's Green in West Derby. This came after a huge fundraising drive was launched to pay for the new facility. However, it was announced on Monday of this week that the time taken to get planning permission has left insufficient time to construct the building. This, along with a 'significant rise' in the projected costs and 'the challenge of raising funding in the current economic climate' means there are now insufficient funds available for the project.
The team at Rigby Financial felt that we wanted to help the fundraising cause and have hurriedly decided to organise a 10 mile sponsored walk around the Village of Rainford on the 26/10/2024. If you are able too please take time to donate to this very special cause and ensure that Liverpool and the surrounding area doesn't loos out on this invaluable lifeline.
