Story
Over the last decade, over 130 UK Wholesale, Convenience, FMCG and Service Provider executives have cycled across Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, the UK and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and most recently Tanzania, raising over £1.5 million for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) – the Manchester based charity, awarded Co-Laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.
Every day, 17 people are killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs. Half of casualties are children. MAG’s teams around the world remove these items for good from communities affected by conflict. Every landmine and weapon taken out of the ground is a life saved, an injury prevented, and a community given the chance to rebuild.
By sponsoring the team today, you are helping to save lives and build futures around the world and put an end to the tragic impacts of war from conflicts new and old.
