Support for Alopecia

Alopecia UK is a registered charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through its aims of Support, Awareness and Research. The charity relies on individual fundraisers and donors to continue its work. Alopecia UK receives no government or statutory funding.

Story

Jesse has been experiencing Alopecia for the last 3 years, he has often felt alone, until we discovered Alopecia Uk and found a community of support, friendship and compassion. Through the charity, Jesse has found friends, and learnt to help accept his alopecia. We recently attended a support event at Alton Towers where the park was turned Blue in support of Alopecia. Jesse would like to help raise funds for the charity to help them continue to support people like him. He has been making and selling badges and already donated an amazing £300 from the sale of these to Alopecia Uk.

Alopecia UK is a small registered charity working hard to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. The charity has aims of Support, Awareness and Research.

A diagnosis of alopecia can make you feel like your world has been turned upside down. It can impact on relationships, work and social life. Many can find it difficult to go out in public to begin with, or even look in a mirror. Alopecia UK is here to help people at this difficult time.
