Story
On Friday 4th July 2025, I’ll be setting off at 5:45am to walk 31 hilly miles in just one day as part of the Worcestershire Way Walk, raising money for a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart, St Richard’s Hospice.
This challenge is in loving memory of Nanny Olive Mason, Grandad Eddie Mason, and Auntie June Mason, who all received the most compassionate care and support from St Richard’s during their time of need. Our families will forever be grateful for the kindness and comfort the hospice team provided during such a difficult time.
St Richard’s Hospice is a local, independent charity that offers free, specialist care to adults in Worcestershire living with serious progressive illnesses. They also support patients’ loved ones, offering strength, guidance, and compassion when it's needed most. This essential care is only possible because of generous donations, the hospice relies heavily on fundraising to keep their services free and accessible.
Walking 31 miles in one day (with plenty of hills along the way!) is no small task, but it’s nothing compared to the courage shown by those who rely on St Richard’s every day. Every step I take will be for Nanny Olive, Grandad Eddie, Auntie June, and all the families who turn to the hospice in their time of need.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to me, and to everyone at St Richard’s Hospice. Your support will help ensure this vital care continues for others facing their own journeys.
Thank you so much for your support 🧡
