This International Women’s Day, I am supporting the 'From Roots to Rise' campaign to support Stemette Futures. When women and non-binary people thrive in STEAM, we all rise.

Stemette Futures is an inspiring non‑profit organisation that creates opportunities for girls and non‑binary young people aged 5–25 to get into STEM across the UK and Ireland. Their mission is to engage, inform, and connect young people with hands‑on STEM/STEAM experiences, mentoring, industry role models, and confidence‑building events. According to their published impact data, 84% of attendees report feeling more confident in their STEAM abilities after just one event, and more than 73,000 young women and non‑binary young people have taken part in their programmes since 2013.

Several degree apprentices within JLR have personally benefitted from Stemettes’ programmes in the past, long before joining the business, which makes supporting them feel especially meaningful to us.
