Jo Smith is raising money for VETERANS WITH DOGS

Team: eJ Veterans & Reserves Network campaign supporting Veterans With Dogs

Brighton 10K 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

As the UK’s first charity of its kind, Veterans With Dogs trains and partners life-changing assistance dogs with current and former British Armed Forces personnel living with mental health difficulties, helping them lead more independent lives and rediscover hope, one wet nose at a time.

Story

Short Intro

We’re taking on a series of challenges to raise funds for Veterans With Dogs, starting in April 2026.

This page will grow as more people and challenges are added, but the purpose remains the same: supporting veterans when it matters most.

This campaign is led by members of the easyJet Veterans & Reserve Forces Network, alongside colleagues and supporters who want to give back to the Armed Forces community.

Why We’re Doing This

This campaign brings together veterans, reservists, and supporters from a Veterans & Reserves Network, united by a shared commitment to supporting those who have served.

Veterans With Dogs is the UK’s first and leading charity dedicated to training and partnering assistance dogs with current and former members of the British Armed Forces living with mental health difficulties.

They specialise in task‑specific training to support individuals diagnosed with conditions such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, empowering them to live more independent, connected lives.

Every dog they place is more than a companion — they’re a lifeline.

With your support, Veterans With Dogs can continue changing lives, one wet nose at a time.

Our Fundraising Goal

Our initial target is £20,000.

Reaching this milestone would allow us to sponsor a Veterans With Dogs service dog, supporting its training and placement with a veteran who needs it most.

That’s what we’re working towards — and every donation brings us closer.

What Comes Next

This is only the beginning.

Planned and upcoming challenges include:

⛰ A 24‑hour Three Peaks Challenge

💪 Further endurance events

🎯 More social and team‑based fundraising activities

🤝 Additional team members stepping up to take part

Rather than creating multiple pages, this single page will track the entire campaign, helping us build momentum and maximise impact.

Why Your Support Matters
