Story
Supporting Veterans With Dogs
Throughout 2026, we are taking on a series of fundraising challenges to raise money for Veterans With Dogs β a remarkable charity that supports veterans living with mental health difficulties through the life-changing partnership of assistance dogs.
This campaign is being led by members of the easyJet Veterans & Reserve Forces Network, alongside colleagues, friends and supporters who want to make a real difference to the Armed Forces community.
What started as a single fundraising event has grown into a wider campaign involving multiple challenges, a fantastic team of supporters, and a shared goal of helping veterans rebuild confidence, independence and purpose.
Why We're Doing This
Veterans With Dogs is the UK's first and leading charity dedicated to training and partnering assistance dogs with current and former members of the British Armed Forces living with mental health difficulties.
These highly trained assistance dogs provide practical support for veterans diagnosed with conditions such as PTSD, anxiety and depression, helping them navigate daily life, regain independence and reconnect with the world around them.
Every dog placed represents a new chapter for a veteran who needs support.
Our goal is simple: to raise as much as possible so that Veterans With Dogs can continue changing lives β one veteran and one dog at a time.
Challenges Completed
We've already kicked off the campaign with two fantastic fundraising events:
π Brighton & Hove 10K
12 April 2026
Jenni and Jo took on the Brighton seafront course to launch our fundraising campaign and help build early momentum.
π London Marathon
26 April 2026
Craig completed the iconic 26.2-mile challenge through the streets of London, raising awareness and funds for Veterans With Dogs while helping to drive the campaign forward.
Together, these events helped establish the campaign and created the platform for the bigger challenges still to come.
What's Next
The focus now turns to our two biggest fundraising challenges of the year.
βοΈ Dorset Plane Pull
31 August 2026
A team of 20 volunteers will attempt to pull a plane across the runway in Dorset in support of Veterans With Dogs.
This challenge is all about teamwork, determination and community spirit. Every metre pulled will bring us one step closer to our fundraising goal and help raise awareness of the incredible work carried out by the charity.
β°οΈ National Three Peaks Challenge
10β12 September 2026
Just ten days later, a team of veterans, reservists, colleagues and supporters will tackle one of the UK's toughest endurance challenges.
The aim is to climb and descend the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales β Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) β completing all three peaks within 24 hours.
This challenge will test physical fitness, resilience, teamwork and determination, with participants covering hundreds of miles by road and more than 3,000 metres of ascent on foot.
For many of us, this will be the toughest challenge we have ever undertaken.
But it pales in comparison to the daily challenges faced by many veterans living with mental health difficulties, which is exactly why we're doing it.
Our Fundraising Goal
We are aiming to raise Β£20,000.
Reaching this target would allow us to sponsor a Veterans With Dogs assistance dog, helping fund its training and placement with a veteran who needs that support most.
It's an ambitious goal, but with your help, it's achievable.
