Story
Hi, I’m Olivia and I’m 12 years old. 💙
I originally decided to walk 21 kilometres around my village to raise money for Charlie’s Promise.
I completed my 21K walk on 27 September, but afterwards I decided I didn’t want to stop there.
Charlie would have turned 21 on 28 October, so I have now set myself a much bigger challenge:
💙 21 Challenges for Charlie 💙
Between my 21K walk and Charlie’s 21st birthday, I’m going to complete 21 different challenges to raise money and awareness for Charlie’s Promise.
Some will be fundraising challenges, some will be acts of kindness and some will be about getting people talking about Charlie’s Promise and the work they do.
So far my challenges have included:
💙 Walking 21 kilometres
🍪 Baking 21 cookies to share with our neighbours
🫖 Arranging tea and chats with some of our elderly neighbours
🌼 Planting 21 daffodils for Charlie, so every spring there will be 21 little reminders of him
And there are lots more still to come!
I’ll be completing the challenges throughout October, finishing on 28 October — Charlie’s 21st birthday.
Why Charlie’s Promise?
Charlie’s Promise is a charity working to educate young people about the consequences of knife crime, raise awareness and help make communities safer.
I wanted to do something myself to support them and hopefully encourage other people to learn about the charity too.
If you would like to support my 21 for Charlie, any donation — big or small — would mean so much to me.
You can also help by sharing my page, following my challenges and telling other people about Charlie’s Promise.
Thank you so much for supporting me and Charlie’s Promise. 💙
Love,
Olivia
A note from Mum
Olivia is 12, so I am managing this fundraising page on her behalf.
The idea, the challenges and the fundraising are all hers — I’m just helping with the grown-up bits!
We’ll keep updating the page as Olivia works her way through all 21 challenges for Charlie. 💙
