Story
I am raising money for Alcohol Change UK. I’m doing Dry January. Only a few people know that I have recently escaped the addiction of alcohol. I am doing really well.
This fundraiser is a boost, a massive one for me and gives people the opportunity to support me in my sobriety journey. Alongside sharing their own experiences with alcohol.
I am almost 3 full months completely sober, Christmas is a hard one not just for me, but for a lot of people. I just want to give people hope that if you have issues with alcohol or have had in the past, or know someone with the same issues it can be done! Either choosing sobriety or drinking in moderation.
You can donate as little as a £1. Every pound makes a difference toward this charity. Let’s raise awareness behind alcoholism✌🏼
About Alcohol Change UK (the charity behind the Dry January® challenge)
We are Alcohol Change UK. We work for a society that is free from the harm caused by alcohol.
We are not anti-alcohol; we are for alcohol change. We are for a future in which people drink as a conscious choice, not a default; where the issues which lead to alcohol problems like poverty, mental health issues, homelessness are addressed; where those of us who drink too much, and our loved ones, have access to high-quality support whenever we need it, without shame or stigma.
How your donations can help:
* A donation of £20 could support around 20 people reduce their drinking through the Dry January® Challenge.
* £30 could help us develop and deliver more training for front line workers and improve support for dependent drinkers.
* £40 could cover the costs of supporting 16 people for six months to reduce their drinking through our Try Dry® app.
