Hello again our wonderful supporters.

My super Dad, Richard Baker, sadly passed away on 23rd December 2023.

He had been suffering from Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia for over 12 years. These two terrible conditions combined together took away Dads quality of life, destroying his nervous system and brain functionality. Dad passed away peacefully at home with his loving family around him.

In 2021 my sister Lauren and I hiked 100k across the Peak District over two days.

Last year my wife Emmie and I took on the Jurassic 100k hike across the Dorset coast. From start to finish this challenge took us 33 hours of continuous walking.

This year I will be stupidly taking on two of these challenges as a farewell to Dad.

The first challenge will take place on Saturday 4th May. Emmie and I will be walking the 106k coastline of the Isle of Wight. Starting and finishing in Chale. Again this is a continuous challenge taking us through the day and night.

The second challenge will take place two weeks later on Saturday 18th May. In memory of Dad I will yet again takie on the 100k Jurassic coast, one of Dads favourite parts of the country. Walking from Corfe to Bridport again continuously through the day and night. To make this even tougher for some reason I have also set myself a time limit of completing this challenge within 24 hours.

These hikes are equivalent to walking from Winchester train station to London Waterloo in one go, however this will be across gruelling coastline and through the night without sleep.

Again I have covered the cost of the events myself meaning every penny from sponsorship you donate will go directly to Parkinson's UK.
