I am taking part in the London 'Santa in the City' run again, in aid of The National Brain Appeal. I'll be in-cognito as a wheelchair-Santa on 4 December, spinning around the streets of London in my wheelchair sleigh!

This year the National Brain Appeal is the event's "Accessible Partner", a new partnership category aiming to promote awareness and inclusion for all levels of ability / disability - something I'm really passionate about. Last year I was only 1 of 2 wheelchair participants. I'd love to see this grow.

I've recruited a few more helpers to relay-push my wheelchair and relieve my usual helper from her round-the-clock responsibilities - Santa pusher-recruits for 2024 - Lottie, Sue, Peter & Liz (what a team!).

1 in 6 of us in the UK has a neurological condition. That's 14.7million mums, dads, sons, daughters, friends and colleagues who are affected.

The National Brain Appeal aims to transform the lives of the millions of people affected by neurological and neuromuscular conditions. It helps to drive advancement by funding pioneering research, innovative treatments and world-class facilities over and above what the NHS can provide.

Your donation will help The National Brain Appeal to improve the outcome and quality of life for the millions of people affected by a neurological condition. It's really helped me in the aftermath of my ruptured brain aneurysm and I'm doing what I can to help further support for others.
