Story
On Friday 3 July, I’ll be taking on the Big Walk in support of childhood lung disease research at the University of Sheffield. The route will take me from the Strines Inn, Bradfield Dale all the way back to the University Arms pub via Stanage Edge, Burbage and Ringinglow, completing 20 miles plus any extra done through poor map reading/pub detours!
In the UK, 1 in 12 children are at risk of developing lung disease. Yet standard tests like CT scans are often unsafe for children.
Donating will help to improve imaging technology for children who desperately need it. The research will help to move safe lung scanning technology from the lab into the hands of doctors who are caring for children with lung conditions.
