Story

We are running the 2025 London Marathon to honour our beloved mum Nikky who tragically passed away from stage 4 thalamic glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumour. Mum touched so many lives with her passion for music, books, and France. She had a beautiful spirit and a wide circle of friends across London, Brighton, and the country who were deeply moved by her passing. Mum wouldn't have dared even do a marathon and was much more comfortable going on long walks in the downs or in France but was always extremely supportive of Joe and I in our athletic endeavours. We walked 26.2 miles from Brighton to Eastbourne in her memory last year and Macmillan kindly asked us to run for them this year!

Nikky was an extremely healthy person, and the fact she passed away at 61 spoke to how indiscriminate cancer can be but mum would not want us to get bogged down in how unlucky the situation is. She would want us to keep pushing.

In her memory, we (Joe, Frank and Kane) aim to raise £7,500 to help fund research and support for those affected by brain tumours. Over the coming months, we’ll be doing everything we can—both on and off the marathon course—to raise as much as possible.

Your support means the world to us. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us keep Nikky's spirit alive and brings us closer to making a difference for others.

Thank you for helping us honour Nikky’s memory and contribute to such an important cause.
