Hi Everyone,

I am proud to say I’m running the London Marathon in 2025 to raise money towards a charity that is dedicated to researching cures for kidney disease and kidney failure. This cause is incredibly close to my heart due to the battles that my Nan has faced due to kidney disease.

In 2018, my Nan was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that led to the loss of both her kidneys. Since then, the impact on her and my Grandad has been huge. Just to name a few of the impacts: having dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours at a time in the hospital (which is incredibly boring & takes up a large part of the day), loss of appetite & fatigue are just a small number amongst many, as a result of this both my Nanny and Grandads’ quality of life has deteriorated significantly, making everyday tasks difficult. Despite everything, my Nanny remains as positive as can be and continues to make everybody laugh & smile, witnessing the struggles she & my grandad have faced has given me the determination to make a difference & hopefully stop this happening to more and more people.
