Story
In September 2026, my family will celebrate 27 years since my brother Josh and I were adopted.
On that day in 1999, Mum and Dad made the journey from Little Lever to Ashton-under-Lyne and brought us home. It was the beginning of our life as a family, and every year since then we have marked that anniversary together.
This year, to celebrate that milestone and honour the memory of my dad, Stuart, we are doing something special. Mum, Josh and I will be travelling the same route between Ashton-under-Lyne and Little Lever, raising money for Bolton Hospice along the way. Mum and I will walk the 15-mile route while Josh cycles alongside us.
The challenge is about far more than the miles. It is about remembering where our family's story began, celebrating the love and support that shaped our lives, and giving something back to a charity that means so much to our community.
Bolton Hospice provides compassionate care and support to countless local families, and we would be grateful for any donation, no matter how small.
What started as the journey that brought us home is now a journey of remembrance, gratitude and hope.
Thank you for supporting us and Bolton Hospice.
