Story
Dr Joe Weinberg was a pediatric emergency medicine physician and an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He was Chief of Emergency Services at Le Bonheur, Founder and President of Pediatric Emergency Specialists, PC and instrumental in creating Le Bonheur's Pediatric Emergency Fellowship program. He served on many local, state and national organizations related to emergency services and education, including serving as Chairman of the AAP Committee of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and as a member of the National Board of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Weinberg believed that children should have access to appropriate health care regardless of their parents’ station in life or the whims of their parents’ employer.
