Ride for Rwanda!
Campaign by Cricket Builds Hope (RCN 1157287)
Cricket Builds Hope uses cricket, and its values, to support community development in Rwanda. Get behind our supporters as we swap whites for lycra and 'Ride for Rwanda', pedaling all the way from the Oval to Brighton.

Story

CBH initially built a home for Rwandan cricket fitting of the passion of cricketers who brought the game back with them following the tragic Genocide of 1994. Today, the Gahanga Stadium has staged the most international ‘T20’ cricket matches of any venue in the world. This reflects the incredible rise of the game, with over 50,000 people now playing – mostly youngsters and equal parts boys and girls.

Now, CBH uses cricket to support local communities. This includes helping young women around the stadium to develop a leadership mindset and advance themselves economically, with 70%+ of graduates starting an income generating activity of their own. As Jacqueline says: “I used to think that leadership was for others, but ... I've discovered that I too am a leader.”

Elsewhere, CBH supports children access education and critical sexual and reproductive health knowledge to tackle teenaged pregnancies.

Please get behind me as I Ride for Rwanda and help build more hope through cricket.
