Hello – I’m Daisy and along with my Dad we’re taking part in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike on Saturday 21st October in memory of my wonderful Grandad – Mike Bennett.

It’s a 10k hike around Cheltenham – which my Mum says is a very long way! I’ll be with my Dad and lots of other people sharing stories of our favourite people who are no longer with us.

My Grandad was amazing – he was my best friend. We loved spending time together – I would help him with his DIY around the house and we would spend hours reading, laughing, and playing Lego together.

Grandad was very poorly – he had cancer. He got better for bit and then he got sick again and unfortunately there wasn’t anything the doctors could do. He was looked after by the amazing team at Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Court Hospice. They took really good care of him.

I miss him terribly but I’m thankful for the great care and compassion everyone at Sue Ryder showed my family. So, I would like to raise as much money as I can to say thank you to everyone that looked after Grandad. Please donate if you can.
