🐶 Help Us Name a Guide Dog “Vardy”🐶

We are trying to raise £2500 for Guide Dogs UK — enough to name a guide dog puppy “Vardy” in honour of football legend Jamie Vardy⚽️

Why Vardy? Because like Jamie’s incredible rise from non-league football to Premier League champion, guide dogs help people with sight loss overcome obstacles and challenges every single day. This campaign is all about determination, resilience, and giving others the chance to live life to the fullest.

💙 Who We Are

We’re Anne and Steve, a husband-and-wife team who proudly volunteer as puppy raisers and boarders for Guide Dogs. We’ve seen first-hand the transformational impact these dogs make, and we want to do more to help — with your support!

🚨 Our Challenges

To reach our £2500 goal, we’re taking on two big challenges:

🏊‍♀️ Anne’s Channel Swim (In a Pool!)

Anne is swimming 22 miles — the distance of the English Channel — in her local Holmfirth pool, spread over several sessions. Every length takes us one step closer to naming “Vardy”!

🚶‍♂️ Steve & Paul’s Football March

In September, Steve and his brother-in-law Paul will walk around 80 miles in five days — from Stocksbridge Park Steels FC (where Jamie Vardy began his career) to the King Power Stadium in Leicester, home of Leicester City FC. A symbolic journey for a symbolic name!

£2500 will:

• Fund the naming of a guide dog puppy as “Vardy”

• Support their early training journey

• Change the life of someone living with sight loss

Guide Dogs UK receives no government funding for these services, so your donation truly makes a difference.
