Story
In 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest running challenge of my life — the London Marathon — in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
My daughter is currently a patient at GOSH, and as a family we have experienced first hand the extraordinary care, compassion, and expertise that make this hospital so special. GOSH not only provides world-class medical treatment, but also kindness, reassurance, and hope when we needed it most.
I’ve always loved running and have completed 10ks and a half marathon, but I’ve never run a full marathon before. The London Marathon has long been a dream of mine, and being able to run it for GOSH — the charity that has supported my daughter and our family — makes it more meaningful than I could ever put into words.
Every mile I run will be for my daughter, and for the many children and families who rely on GOSH every day. The money raised will help GOSH continue its vital work, funding life-saving treatments, specialist equipment, research, and support services for families.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for supporting me, and more importantly, for supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital and the incredible work they do.
John
