Story
In my capacity as Chair of both Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS) and the Peterborough Cathedral Development & Preservation Trust, I am delighted to share that I am participating in "A Night in the Nave Sleep Out at Peterborough Cathedral 2026."
This will raise both awareness and funds for Light Project Peterborough (LPP), an organisation dedicated to supporting those who are homeless and in need within our community.
This experience will provide me with a small glimpse into the challenges faced by those living on the streets every night. It's a chance to walk in their shoes, even if just for one night, and understand their struggles more deeply.
Between October 2024 and September 2025, Light Project Peterborough made a significant impact by supporting 989 individuals at the Garden House, helping 576 of them transition off the streets and into safe accommodation, and welcoming 495 new faces through their doors. LPP also runs vital projects such as the Homeless Health Hub, Homeless Health Peer Advocacy, Street Chaplaincy, Peterborough Night Shelter, and Across Peterborough.
I know the team at Light Project Peterborough well and the incredible work they do and invite you to join me in making a difference. Please consider making a donation to my fundraising page. Your generous contribution will not only support LPP's incredible work but also help change lives right here in Peterborough. Together, we can bring hope and support to those who need it most. My target is £1,000 by March 19th, 2026.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
