Story
I’m giving up my bed for a night just as the weather has decided to turn to finger freezer dot com territory - to raise money for Robes - - a small South London charity doing the kind of work that makes you wonder how they manage it with so little funding and so much heart.
They run volunteer-led winter shelters, help people move into proper long-term accommodation, and then stay involved so it actually sticks. It’s quietly heroic and makes a huge difference to people who’ve had everything go sideways.
So yes - I’ll be outside in 0 degrees, wrapped up like a discarded 3am kebab after the club.
If you sponsor me, brilliant. If you don’t, send warm thoughts.
Here’s what Robes’ impact looks like from someone who’s lived it:
“Thank you so much with all my heart… I was desperate, homeless, and had no one to help me. You helped me back on my feet.” — Robes Guest, 2025
