Story
Hi there guys!
So this year I've decided to take part in the Pilgrim's Way Challenge for the first time, which I will be hiking 55km in one day, the route starting in Dover, halfway point at Canterbury, and ending in Wye.
It's something I've always wanted to do, and in the wake of the 10th anniversary of my Dad's sudden passing at the age of 50 in July, and also in memory of the elders of my family who have since passed and had received hospice treatment in the past, I felt it was a good time to honor their legacy by giving back.
All funds go straight to Pilgrim's Hospice East Kent services to provide end of life care, as well as to help those after with dealing with the grief of losing loved ones.
Now while my Dad didn't necessarily have any form of hospice care, he did however enjoy a lovely coastal or nature walk to help bring him some peace of mind. For this reason alone, it'll feel like going on a nice, therapeutic long walk with him putting the world to rights. Instead the means of putting the world to rights is giving back to the care community that helped my family at times of need.
My target for the fundraiser is £250. Even if it's just a quid that you can part with, that means a lot to me, so any contribution no matter how small makes a difference ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to read this and to help out. Here's to a long refreshing summertime walk 🌞
