Story

hree Dads. One Half Marathon. Questionable Life Choices.

Somewhere between school runs, bedtime battles, forgotten PE kits and wondering where all our free time went, we somehow agreed to run the Leicester Half Marathon.

This is entirely Pete's fault.

Back in September 2024, Pete convinced (or wore down) Shervin and Jay into signing up for a random Wolf Run, a bit of fun. At the time it seemed like a one-off adventure. Fast forward and we'd somehow completed the entire Wolf Run Trilogy in 2025.

Then came the Parkruns.

Since September 2025 we've been turning up every week, pretending we enjoy getting out of bed early on a Saturday. What started as "we should probably run a bit other than a couple of Wolf Runs” became a minimum of 5km a week... then 10... then 20... and now we're regularly running around 30km a week.

It's escalated far beyond what any of our wives probably expected.

As three dads with young kids, finding time to train has involved early mornings, late evenings, negotiating with our families, and occasionally explaining why we're voluntarily paying money to go for long runs when nobody is chasing us.

So why are we doing this?

Like so many families, each of us has been touched by cancer in one way or another. LOROS provides incredible care and support for patients and their loved ones during unimaginably difficult times, and we're proud to be raising money for a charity that means so much to all of us.

If our aching knees, sore legs and questionable decision-making can help raise some money for LOROS, then every mile will be worth it.

Please donate if you can. Every pound makes a difference—and if nothing else, it'll help justify Pete talking us into this in the first place.

Thanks for your support!
